Author: Dale Flett

My name is Dale Flett. I am from Opaskwayak Cree Nation (The Pas), Manitoba. I have lived and worked in OCN for most of my life. As a child, I was excited to be published in the International Library for my Poem Inspiration. There I graduated from Joe A. Ross school and had the opportunity to work as a student reporter. Soon after, the editor of Natotawin left and I took over the position for a couple of months. I went back to my home town to sandbag for the coming flood. After the flood, time had passed; I had moved on to Fort Qu’Appelle to visit some people. I applied for the military and university. Months later I had a meeting to attend about my education. We discussed why I wanted to be in the military and why I wanted to be in university and I decided I wanted to further my education, so I registered for registered for a Bachelor of Arts. Half way through my degree I enrolled in the Indian Communications Arts Program.
