Author: Leeland Delorme

My name is Leeland Delorme. I am from the Kahkewistahaw First Nation, Saskatchewan, and father of three (Mackenzie, Landon & Tira). I am currently enrolled in the Indian Communication Arts (INCA) program at the First Nations University of Canada. My goals are to finish the INCA certificate program and then apply to the School of Journalism at the University of Regina. When I finish my journalism education, I would love to work in either radio or television. It has always been my dream to be on air in either one of those fields. I have worked as a volunteer with access 7 cable as a camera man and also had a chance to do some on-air sports commentary. I also had the unique opportunity to work with CBC Marketplace as a researcher, which focused on racial discrimination in Canada.
