Jamin Mike is from the Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation, and is proud of his heritage. At 19-years-old, he has already accomplished much in his life from traveling and seeing the world. He graduated valedictorian from his high school and has received various awards in Indigenous literature and the arts. Jamin joined INCA right after high school and continues to love the program. Since September 2015, He enrolled at the First Nations University of Canada as a full time student. All while doing this, he is writing a fictional novel and hoping to have it complete by the time he is done his first under-graduate degree. In the time being, he is working hard in school and has a dedication to his education. Jamin is enjoying his youth with sobriety and lends his heart to people in need without questioning. However, he is kind of a quiet guy. He is also passionate about science and health, and once completed a degree in journalism; he plans on obtaining an environmental health studies certificate to cover health related news. Jamin is optimistic about his future and plans to do a lot.
