Author: Conrad Naytowhow

My name is Conrad Naytowhow and I’m from Montreal Lake Cree Nation. Currently I am enrolled in the 2016 INCA Summer Institute. I am on a summer break from Confederation College where I have one left to complete in Film Production. I have a diverse work history including home care, medical taxi, Discotek Entertainment, and among many other positions. I was also a board member at the Child and Family Agency, men’s wellness, police management, recreation, justice, and membership committees just to name a few prior to my returning to school. My reason being I was getting busy in social media where weekends and weekdays became full of travel to different events such as music festivals, cultural days, night time gigs and weddings. My passion is travel and telling stories; but, in order to tell a good story on paper, in radio or film, I needed to learn how to use the tools of the trade. In the past year, I have learned how to make a real movie, documentaries, and am now getting acquainted with journalism. By continueing to go against the odds, I hope to encourage others to follow their dreams, especially our youth. Education is the key to success and the key to a full life.
